ELA Adoption Review

The Douglas Unified School District has approved a 60-day review of K-12 English language arts (ELA) curriculum resources. As part of the public review process, the curriculum materials and digital resources from the selected vendors will be available at the Douglas Unified School District Office throughout the review process.

The on-site curriculum materials review will be available from June 3, 2026 to September 1, 2026

Parents and community members may visit the school district Central Office to review materials in person. Please bring a photo ID and sign in at the front office to review on-site materials. District staff will direct you to the location of the onsite materials. Feedback forms are located on the tables.

Please note that the revised calendar includes a reduction in Wednesday early release days for the 2026-2027 school year. We encourage all families and staff to review the updated calendar carefully for important dates, holidays, breaks, and schedule changes.

Whether you’re a car enthusiast, a supporter of education, or simply looking for a great community event, we’d love to see you there. You can also support the event by entering a vehicle or spreading the word. Please note, there will be designated parking areas for entrants & spectators.

Help us promote SafeVoice Cochise, our anonymous reporting tool that helps keep students safe. In the Student Contest, the student can create a poster, social media graphic, video, sticker, or flyer. Great Opportunity from the City of Douglas Aquatics for their upcoming Junior Lifeguard Program, which will be offered in April. This program is designed for youth ages 12–16 and provides participants with an introduction to lifeguarding, swim safety, and basic lifesaving skills. It’s a great opportunity for students to build confidence, learn responsibility, and explore potential future employment in aquatics. Please see flyer for more information!

SPRING BREAK: There will be NO School and all School Offices will be closed from Monday, March 9th through Friday, March 13th. School will resume on Monday, March 16th. All District Offices will remain open. Thank you!
