Mrs. Samaniego has established the GEM Award to recognize DUSD staff.  Any District employee can nominate an individual whom they feel exhibits outstanding moral integrity, has gone above and beyond the call of duty, for Going the Extra Mile, and/or exemplifies DUSD's mission, vision, and values.  

Qualifications: Someone who exhibits integrity, a positive attitude, a spirit of excellence in their daily work, and a dedication to DUSD and students throughout their interaction and work.  Someone who "goes the extra mile", makes the DUSD family stronger and contributes to the District's environment.  The nominee exemplifies DUSD's mission, vision, and values.

Nominations are due by 4:00 p.m. on the last day of each month.
